Ghin Khao Thai Food has had another thrilling year in 2017, celebrating 10 years on Swanston Street in Melbourne city. To top it all off, Ghin Khao was also announced as Best Thai Restaurant finalist in the Savour Australia awards for 2017.
In January 2017 Ghin Khao celebrated its 10 year anniversary of first opening its doors at 242 Swanston St, Melbourne CBD. Since then, Ghin Khao has been quietly serving up authentic Thai food & has established itself as one of the leading Thai restaurants in Melbourne. In August 2017 Ghin Khao was announced as a finalist in the Best Thai Restaurant Category at the Savour Australia Restaurant & Catering Industry Awards. The ceremony was held in the Atlantic Group Peninsula Convention Centre in Docklands, Melbourne CBD, on 28 August 2017. Ghin Khao was in good company with other well respected Thai restaurants in Melbourne including Chin Chin, Melbourne CBD, Lemongrass (Carlton) and Paladarr (Alphington). Congratulations to Lemongrass Thai Restaurant for taking out the winners award.

Translated literally it says “Ghin Khao serves Thai food with strongly flavoured authentic Thai taste. If you want these vibrant & intense Thai flavours in your meal just ask your waiter.”
There is a fully imported Thai Tuk Tuk at the front door of Ghin Khao restaurant. When you see the Tuk Tuk you’ve arrived at Ghin Khao as there is only one Tuk Tuk in Melbourne CBD!! The Tuk Tuk welcomes customers & gives them a glimpse of daily Thai life. A perfect pairing with the authentic Thai food being served up inside.
